Celebrate Fall!!

Fall is in the air and let's celebrate with a variety of fall cards. Make one or all.
Supplies: cardstock, ribbon, brads or stickers, black ink for stamping and coloring tools.

We made this card a few years ago but maybe the new members of the group would enjoy making it. Supplies: cardstock, pop dots and black ink. You can use my colored ink.

This card is copied from Barb's design from our card kit exchange. It's hard to tell in the photo but this card is embossed with a leaf embossing folder. Supplies: cardstock and ribbon. You can use my colored ink.

This is another card we made some years ago that our new members might enjoy making. It's hard to see in the picture but the pumpkin is layered so this card needs pop dots. Other supplies: cardstock, decorative paper or cardstock and ribbon. Optional is to cover the leaves with a product like Glossy Accents and some glitter from either a glitter pen or Stickles.

Basic Cardmaking Kit

These supplies are the basics for making cards:

Cardstock - I like 110 lb. cardstock for my card base and this is economical paper. This is available at office supply stores, Sam's, Costco and Walmart but not at craft stores. You can use the heavy weight craft store cardstock as card bases but the value pack cardstock does not make a good card base. Value pack cardstock is ok for layering in designs.
Adhesives - at the minimum you need a wet adhesive and a tape runner. You will also need "pop dot" adhesives.
Paper cutters - you need a paper trimmer and a good pair of scissors. Your paper trimmer should have a measuring arm.
Patterned papers - we often use patterned paper. You can buy it as individual sheets or in coordinated packs. I recommend these smaller sized packs as the scale of the design is more suitable for cards.
You will need a good quality black ink. My favorite is Versafine. It gives a nice, crisp image. StazOn is also good but it isn't good for clear stamps.

Envelopes - you can buy envelopes at office supply stores as well as the craft stores.
Oven Liner?? You need to bring something for a work surface so you don't get glue all over the tablecloths on my tables. It can be a silicone oven liner, a piece of cardboard, any smooth surface for you to work on.
An old magazine? Old magazines are great for glue workspots. You do your gluing on one page and then flip the page for a clean spot. This will help keep your work surface clean.
Other supplies you might want to have:
Coloring Tools - water color pencils & blending pen,  markers
Glitter Glue like Stickles
Ruler
